Creative way for experts to solve a big problem.
Objective: Introduce a series or at least a different way of thinking about solving a problem for your buyers.
(See the video in action in the Vault.)
Script:
Do you suffer from (this problem/inconvenience) no matter how hard you try to fix it? Some call it (laziness/negative feeling or negative adjective), But I think you’re actually (a positive characteristic, but your ____ isn’t keeping up.)
“Does your home get messy between cleanings no matter how hard you try? Some might call it laziness, but I think you're just efficient and your home isn't keeping up.”
(Some examples of this hook:
Accounting: "Does your paperwork pile up between accounting sessions no matter how organized you try to be? Some might call it poor bookkeeping, but I think you're just focused on growth, and your systems aren't keeping up."
Fitness: "Does your workout routine fall apart between gym sessions no matter how hard you try? Some might call it a lack of discipline, but I think you're just ambitious and your fitness plan isn't keeping up.")
On Day (x) of (your series), let’s discover (why x inconveniences happen.)
“On Day 4 of Living Smarter, Not Harder, let's see what desire paths can teach us about ourselves and keeping our homes clean. Desire paths are these trails that you see form when the walkways aren't providing us with the most direct route.”
(Those inconveniences happen because of…)
“They happen because humans are super efficient creatures who always have efficiencies. So we shouldn't feel guilty when we don't want to trek back and forth across the house putting things away. So let's pinpoint and improve some desired paths that already exist in our homes.”
(Some examples of this again:
Accounting: On Day 2 of Running Your Business Smarter, Not Harder, let's talk about natural workflow patterns and how they affect your bookkeeping. Just like ants instinctively create the most efficient paths between their food source and nest, your business paperwork tends to follow similar patterns. This happens because entrepreneurs are naturally focused on efficiency and growth. So we shouldn't feel guilty when expense receipts pile up on our desks or when we procrastinate on entering transactions into our accounting software. These aren't signs of poor organization – they're signals that your current system isn't aligned with your natural work patterns.
Fitness: “On Day 4 of Training Smarter, Not Harder, let's talk about "flow states" in fitness. Just like water always finds the path of least resistance, our bodies and minds naturally gravitate toward what feels most manageable. This happens because humans are wired to conserve energy and make things easier. So when you find yourself skipping that complicated workout routine or avoiding that time-consuming gym commute, you're not being lazy – your brain is simply telling you that your current fitness approach isn't sustainable.”)
Start by…(Now solve the problem.)
“Start by finding the areas where trash or recycling piles up and add small waste bins so you can clean up right on the spot.”
(How do you like to solve the problem(s)? What are your preferences to make solving said problem convenient? Keep it 1-3 lines.)
“I love having mini counter trash cans everywhere so I can toss the small stuff without skipping a beat. And if you keep accumulating dirty laundry piles, just embrace the path of least resistance and add some small hampers. This one was only 15 bucks on Amazon.
And for the worn but still clean stuff that doesn't quite belong anywhere else, you can add a blanket ladder or a towel rack.
I like metal ones since you can usually add magnet hooks for extra storage. Or for a cheaper option, just put some adhesive hooks on the walls. Or in bathrooms, you can add strong suction hooks. For the general clutter, identify where the same items keep cropping up and get creative with a nearby bin, basket, hook, or tray.”
So suddenly doing the hard task takes (seconds/minutes). (Now engage with your audience or provide a CTA)
“So putting everything away literally takes seconds. And comment below if you have other stubborn clutter that's plaguing your home.”
