MASHUP: Instead of saying “did you know”…try this.
The video context:
This is an ad from the dandruff shampoo brand Flakes. And it’s an interesting take on a trend in video ads right now that I’d call a “mashup.”
Why I love this so much:
This 90 second ad is fast paced, hits on problems that dandruff causes, gives us a different take on the “did you know…” style of content or ads, but also tells a founder story in a way. There’s essence of content repurposing done here but it works.
My biggest takeaway and how you can incorporate this into your content:
Sometimes combining elements of ads that work can come together to create a video that crushes it even more. Like, way more lol.
