Before and After: Showcase the Results II
OBJECTIVE: Build awareness and make a pitch to your workshop or course. PT. II
One of the simplest ways is take someone from stranger to a buyer of your course or workshop is to demonstrate how you can improve their life. A great way to do that is to show the “before and after.” This week of hooks is great for promoting or previewing a course or workshop.
Monday - This is a battle cry for the [customer or client identity] who won't accept living in (major pain point, their “before”). Join me as we discover the [potential outcome of taking action to achieve desired outcome].
Wedding planner example - “This is a battle cry for brides who won’t accept an average wedding. Join me as we plan your dream wedding together.”
Tuesday - If you're still stuck in [habit not delivering result], achieving [desired outcome] will remain a distant dream. Lemme show you why in [60/30 seconds].
Fitness coach example - “If you’re just stuck counting calories, getting shredded by summer will never happen. Lemme show you why in 60 seconds.”
Wednesday - We're on Day (X) of guiding [clients or customer type] towards [their dream goal] using [your service].
NOTE: This is an opportunity to do deep dive into client story or to share info in an “edupitchment” type of video. This would also work as a series too!
Email marketing example - “We’re on day 10 of helping small businesses like yours get 1000 email signups this month.”
Thursday - (Former client) came to me grappling with [general problem your clients face]. I was confident that implementing some simple changes would yield results. They did (note: show the results). Here’ how we achieved them.
Friday - Here’s the top three challenges I see when [your customer/client avatar] attempts to achieve (desire/transformation) and here’s how to solve them.
Fitness coach example - “Here’s the top three challenges I see when desk-bound athletes like you try to get back into shape. A lot of times theses challenges lead to more injuries and longer recovery times but I’ll show you how to fix them.”
Saturday - What happened when [client] applied these three straightforward changes to their ____? The outcome was [massive result/desired outcome].
Fitness coach example - “What happened to my 70 year-old mom when started lifting heavy weights? The outcome literally blew my mind.”
Sunday - POV: you finally decided to [take action] and now [you have the result you’ve always wanted]
NOTE: This also works as a simple text over b-roll video too.
