“Zero to Hero” Growth Stories
Objective: Develop a deeper connection to your customers with your origin story.
As an expert in your field, exploring your own origin story can be a valuable exercise. These prompts, designed to encourage introspection and self-reflection, work particularly well for those diving deep into their “personal brand history”. This process allows you to identify patterns and themes in your life that can help you better understand your motivations, strengths, and weaknesses. Ultimately, exploring your own origin story can provide valuable insights that inform your work and your approach to your field.
Monday: A few years ago, if you told me I’d be (in your current state/ helping X fulfill desired outcome and transformations) I would have said you’re crazy…
Tuesday: Feel lost? Isn’t it time you decided to (achieve desired outcome/transformation)? Hi, I’m (your name) I’m happy to help.
Wednesday: Text over Broll video with 1-2 sentence on your origin story. (See the example ⤵️)
Note:
When you and your brother quit your jobs to start a video and social media marketing agency, spend 3 years working your ass off with little to show for it, then you finally get a phone call with a new contract that is 20x higher you’d ever imagine.
Thursday: Text over Broll video: Start with a negative statement from your origin story, then cut to broll of the current state of your business.
Note: This is a fun take on a before and after.
“You could never start a mens natural soap company. That’s a terrible idea, no one would ever want that.”
Friday: Picture this you’re…(describe the before) then in X short (years, months) you’ve become the go-to person to (help other achieve desired outcome/transformation)
Note: Go all in on your big accomplishment
“Picture this, you’re a single mother laid off from her service job, I had been a painter for years, painting with my daughters, when I was laid off I decided to take ownership of my artistic talent and I wanted to teach others how to do the same. Then in 3 short years, I’ve grown an audience of 1000 women to help them become better artists and painters.”
